We held a Purple Living Room brainstorming session this evening. This week's tragic news from Las Vegas influenced our discussion greatly. This latest atrocity brings a renewed sense of urgency to the mission of finding common ground. Where do we find compromise on the issue of guns in America? What are the Purple Points? We decided that the first focus issue for the Purple Living Room Project will be Guns in America.

Do you know someone with different opinions about gun ownership?  Can you try a Purple Points Conversation?  Now is the time. We cannot delay. Let's find that common ground and share what we've discovered with our elected officials. Make it clear that we expect them to enact centrist legislation that guides how we interact with guns as a society.

Find a friend and host a Purple Living Room party focused on Guns in America. Look for those purple points, no matter how small, and share them here or with our Facebook group.
